Skelmersdale University of the Third Age. Welcome to the Skelmersdale U3A Website. The U3A is for people who are retired, semi-retired or who have time on their hands. It is about Fun, Enjoyment, keeping body and mind active and sharing knowledge, skills and experience with others. Monthly meetings, held on 3rd Thursday each month are a chance to catch up with other members, enjoy a cuppa and listen to a guest speaker. Please contact Alice if you would like to join.

Visitors here since August 2007. We are one of over 900 local U3A groups up and down the country with a nationwide membership of nearly 350,000 at the last count. Let no one be put off by the title of University. In this case it simply means a place for all, a place where everyone with an interest in enjoyable lifelong learning can come together. A small part of our annual subscription goes towards financing the Trust.
